I embossed the title information visibly into the back of the sculpture as it resembled a giant pencil, aligning with how graphite manufacturers mark their products. For example, "D.M. XLV" denoted "Drawing Machine No. 45". The title
 "A Million and One Drawings" was selected due to the sizable graphite piece, implying the potential to create plentiful drawings with it, contingent upon the wielder's strength.
